Replace CT machine in Room 1507 at the UI Health Care - Iowa River Landing Ambulatory Care Facility, Level 1. The pre-bid will be the only opportunity for a pre-bid inspection of the existing conditions. Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. Refer to Article 2 in 00 74 13 Project Requirements for projects at UIHC. General Description of Work: 1) The project consists of removing the existing CT and installing a new CT (Siemens Alpha). The CT replacement involves temporarily removing a portion of glazing, and a section of wall to provide a path of travel. CT Room 1507 will get new flooring and paint, new can light fixtures, and will remove some existing casework. A ceiling boom will be relocated. The mechanical scope includes a new chiller on the roof and new minisplit in the electrical room. The electrical scope revolves largely around providing the required infrastructure for the new CT: new electrical panel, electrical rough-ins and nurse call provisions. The electrical scope will also require the temporary removal of existing wiring devices to allow for the removal of a section of wall and reinstallation of said devices when the wall is re-installed. 2) Alternates: Alternate 1: Control Room Flooring. Contractor to remove existing flooring and install new flooring and wall base in the CT Control Room 1505. Constructor shall perform all work in the designated areas between June 20, 2026 and August 7, 2026.
