The Texas Facilities Commission is soliciting bids for the replacement of the dust collection system in the woodshop at the Texas School for the Deaf to ensure compliance with safety standards and NFPA fire codes. The successful bidder shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, layout, permits (if required), and services for a turnkey dust collection system replacement. This includes demolition and disposal of the existing system and ducts, transporting the existing dust collector to a specified surplus warehouse, and protecting adjacent areas during removal and installation. The new system installation may have the exhaust outside or inside, must meet specified capacity and noise level requirements, comply with OSHA and local building codes, include a spark detector and extinguishing system per NFPA, connect to existing woodworking equipment, and provide all necessary plumbing, electrical, and ductwork replacements. System testing and operational staff training are required. Site work includes calling utility locate if needed, maintaining site safety and cleanliness, daily debris removal, and restoration of disturbed areas to pre-project condition. Work must be performed by experienced personnel under supervision, with a minimum 1-year workmanship warranty and manufacturer warranties for materials, and any defects are to be corrected at no additional cost during the warranty period.
