Sealed bids are solicited for emergency water main repairs. Bidding documents, including contract provisions and project drawings and specifications, may be examined and obtained from the Village of Grayslake. It is the responsibility of the bidder to meet all requirements of the bid documents. The Village reserves the right to accept the bid from the lowest responsible bidder most favorable to the Village, as determined by the Village, or to reject any bid or part of a bid that does not conform to the bidding requirements. The Village may also modify or waive formalities and technicalities in a bid, or reject all bids. Compliance conditions are included in the bid documents. The Village is seeking proposals to provide emergency contractual assistance for water main requiring excavation. The primary work responsibilities will focus on the excavation and repair of underground water mains throughout the year. The work will be based upon the hourly labor/equipment rates. The selected bid proposal will be based on the average labor/equipment rates. The awarded Contractor(s) will be called upon to perform emergency repairs for Village water main on an as-needed basis. The Contractor shall provide all labor and equipment for these repairs. The Village may require the Contractor(s) to perform repairs during regular hours, after hours, on weekend, or on holidays.
