Cook County School District 130 invites sealed bids for the 2026 Exterior Improvements for Veterans Memorial School and 2026 Roof Work for Veterans Memorial School. Bid packages for this project are divided into the following prime contracts: BP1 - Roofing, BP2 - Windows, BP3 - Masonry. Work is to be performed in accordance with the proposed Bid Documents prepared by Shamrock Construction Service and the Construction Documents dated January 19, 2026, as prepared by Healy Bender Patton & Been Architects. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, or Bank Draft in an amount equal to not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid and made payable to Cook County School District 130. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish payment and performance bonds in the full amount of the Contract at the time contract is awarded by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Illinois and approved by the District. Bids shall be submitted in an opaque, sealed envelope plainly marked with the project name listed above. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids without the consent of the District for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of closing bids. Unsuccessful bidders' checks or drafts will be returned as soon as practical. Bidders must comply with all laws including those related to employment of labor and the payment of local prevailing wage rates, including any revisions by the Department of Labor. The District Board reserves the right to reject any applicable bids for any reason, to reject any nonconforming bids, to waive any informalities in bidding, and to make award on the bid most advantageous to the District. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder.
