Site work and paving for a road / highway in Grand Valley, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The Town of Grand Valley is seeking bids from Qualified Suppliers for the provision of approximately 21,000 tonnes of 'A' gravel. The work includes the supply, haul, and spreading of the gravel on various municipal roads as specified by the Director of Public Works. The gravel is to be applied at a rate of approximately 2,500 tonnes per centre line kilometer of road, with NO recycled or foreign material allowed. Contractors must supply test sample records and the material may be subject to testing by the Town. The project must begin after May 1 and be completed by May 31. The Contractor must deliver all materials in tractor trailer style belly dump trucks and provide a minimum of 6 trucks per day. Insurance requirements include $2,000,000 in Commercial General Liability and other related coverages. Instructions to bidders include submission of bid security of 10% of the Total Bid Price, compliance with all mandatory requirements, and submission of all required pricing and compliance forms as described in the bid documentation. Bidders must submit their Bids through the Bidding System and are responsible for obtaining any addenda up to the Submission Deadline. Prices must be fixed and inclusive of all costs, exclusive of sales tax.
