The requirement is to maintain a Short Selection database used by the USDA Forest Service to award Architect-Engineer contracts under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold in the participating states and territories. The database will include qualified small business AE firms that submit the required information for consideration for future projects under the listed NAICS codes. Work may include replacements, bridges, roads, and trails; surveying for construction and property; construction and safety inspections of roads and bridges; design of repairs to small dams and impoundments; laboratory repairs and renovations; HVAC system upgrades; green building construction and certification consultation; historic preservation; renovations to improve energy efficiency and safety; design of small warehouses and offices; energy audits and studies; photovoltaic and renewable energy system design; electrical system design and review; drafting services; facility condition assessments; geotechnical investigation; and environmental investigations, inventories, audits, and coordination under RCRA, CERCLA, CWA, and related requirements. Firms must submit a cover letter, Attachment A identifying locations and NAICS codes, a current SAM registration, and a completed SF-330 to be considered for inclusion. Submittals will be reviewed to determine eligibility, and qualified firms will be placed in the Short Selection database for use in project-specific technical evaluations throughout the covered regions.
