The project generally consists of mobilization, demolition, erosion control, installation of concrete walks and pavement, installation of water services, installation of storm drainage, fence installation, installation of asphalt paving and landscaping. Sealed bids will be received by the Town of Waynesville and must include a certified check or cashier's check payable to the Town of Waynesville or a satisfactory bid bond executed by a corporate surety licensed under the laws of North Carolina, in the amount equal to five percent of the total bid. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish separate, 100 percent Performance and Payment Bonds. Each bidder must be appropriately licensed as a Contractor in the State of North Carolina. Bidders are encouraged to use small and minority-owned business enterprises. Contractors must ensure non-discrimination in employment. The Town of Waynesville reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. The contract may be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents.
