Description

Site work and paving for a road / highway in Jackson, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

The work shall consist essentially of pavement repairs, milling, leveling, overlay, striping, and miscellaneous improvements on a 0.81± mile five lane section of W. Woodrow Wilson Avenue from Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive to the Mill Street Bridge, and all other related items of work required to complete the project as shown and specified in the Contract Documents. The contractor is responsible for performing all work and furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials required by the specifications and drawings. Bidders must submit the Proposal and Contract Documents in their entirety in a sealed envelope with a Bid Bond or Certified Check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, payable to the City of Jackson as bid security. No bid may be withdrawn within one hundred twenty (120) days after the actual bid opening without consent. The successful bidder must furnish a performance and payment bond equal to 100% of the bid, and submit a current financial statement if requested. Work must be performed in accordance with the Mississippi State Highway Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, 2017, and all relevant amendments or addenda. The City of Jackson reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities.
