The objective is to pre-qualify proponents to participate in a solicitation for the supply of Design Build Services for a modular supportive housing building, as further outlined in the tender documents. The project involves a new culturally supportive housing facility that will include housing units, service delivery spaces, indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, community amenity, and administrative spaces. The modular building is proposed to have approximately thirty-three studios and two two-bedroom family-size apartments, with the exact count subject to change during design development. The development will prioritize an Indigenous-informed design process incorporating Indigenous cultural aspects. The site is located on Island Highway, Port Hardy, BC. The Supportive Housing Port Hardy shall be new culturally supportive housing facility, that will include housing units, service delivery spaces, indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, community amenity and administrative spaces. BC Housing is proposing a modular building with a unit mix of approximately thirty-three (33) studios and two (2) two-bedroom family-size apartments. The exact unit count may change based on refinements through design development.
