Description

Renovation of a communication facility in Nevada, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a communication facility.

The Commission is soliciting proposals from firms with relevant experience to provide a proposed solution for the installation of communications equipment within the Story County Emergency Operations Center (EOC). The proposal must follow detailed instructions and specifications for the required services, as well as terms and conditions included in the Request for Proposal. In all cases, no verbal communications shall override written communication or the contents of this RFP. The Commission is seeking vendors for the installation of data projection equipment , phone and video conferencing capabilities in the EOC . The EOC has limited projection , phone and video conferencing capabilities which restricts the EOC's ability to communicate with Federal , State and local agencies . The project will replace ageing equipment , provide multiple data projection resources and provide video teleconferencing capability . The Story County EOC is located in the basement of the Story County Administration Building at 900 6th St, Nevada , Iowa . Construction of the EOC is CMU , concrete and drywall with a footprint of approximately 1,530 square feet as demonstrated in the figure below .
