Sealed bids will be accepted for the construction of Sanitary Sewer Collection System Improvements, Contract No. 2. The project consists of the following: - Gravity Sewer Extensions and Grinder Station Abandonment: Install seven new sewer lines, remove and replace approximately 1,210 LF of 8” pipe, install approximately 3,985 LF of 8” pipe, remove and replace 10 manholes, install 26 manholes, 104 LF bore and casing for 8” pipe, install approximately 1,820 LF of service lateral, abandon 16 grinder pumps, and other related work. - Grinder Pump Replacements: Remove and replace one duplex grinder pump system and six simplex grinder pumps as indicated on the construction drawings. - Sewer Interceptor Improvements: Remove and replace approximately 651 LF of 8” pipe and install 12” pipe, remove and replace 3 manholes and one flared end section, and other related work. - Force Main Improvements: Install approximately 3,783 LF of 8” PVC force main pipe, abandon two existing 6” force mains, 57 LF bore and casing for 8” pipe, and coordinate with Contract 1 Contractor for force main improvements tie-in to lift station improvements. - Collection System Rehabilitation: Approximately 3,270 LF of 8” CIPP lining, 24 CIPP service lateral liners, 7 point repairs, 19 cover and frame replacements, 103 replacement of frame seal and external wraps, 77 VF of epoxy lining, 195 VF of curtain grouting, 5 bench and invert rehabilitations, and other related work. Bids will be received for a single prime contract on a lump sum and unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. Bid security shall be furnished according to the instructions to bidders. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities in the bidding, and to increase or decrease the amount of any class or portion of the work. Bidders must comply with President's Executive Order Number 11246 and other requirements as explained in the specifications, including conditions of employment, Davis Bacon and/or State Prevailing wage rates, Segregated Facility, Section 109, and E.O. 11246. The project is subject to Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended, regarding opportunities for training and employment for lower-income residents and awarding contracts to local business concerns. The project is financed through the Missouri State Revolving Fund and a Community Development Block Grant administered by the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
