This provision will use a International Roughness Index (IRI) per segment, as determined by the latest version of the FHWA's software, ProVAL. A pavementsegment is defined as a continuous area of finished pavement, 0.1 mile in length and one (1) lane in width. A partial segment may result from an interruption of the continuous pavement surface. An Area of Localized Roughness (ALR) is a length of pavement with localized roughness that exceeds the corresponding threshold value. Localized roughness is based on a continuous IRI computed over a 25-foot distance. ALR is determined by the latest version of FHWA's software, ProVAL. This work consists of providing and placing reflectorized and non-reflectorized plural-component pavement markings on asphalt concrete (AC) and portland cement concrete (PCC) pavement surfaces. Plural-component pavement markings includes multiple varieties of both fast setting and slow setting hybridized epoxies, modified urethanes/polyacrylates, methylmethacrylates(MMA), polyurea, or any other applicable plural-component materials approved by the Department.
