Renovation of a stadium in Rosenberg, Texas. Working plans call for the renovation of a stadium.
As of 2/5/2026, this project has been canceled and will be re-advertised at a later date. It is the intent of Fort Bend County to contract with one vendor for all materials, supplies, equipment, tools, services, labor, and supervision necessary to complete the construction of O.D. Tucker Arena Roof Replacement, located at 4310 Highway 36 South, Rosenberg, TX, 77471. Question Deadline 02/10/2026 at 9:00 AM CT All requests for such interpretations must be made in writing, utilizing the Q&A feature in the Bonfire portal addressed to Tyler Kendziora, Contracts Manager Tyler.Kendziora@fortbendcountytx.gov work shall include all labor and materials to provide new metal roof with full panel replacement. o contractor to install a mcelroy trap-tee roofing panel system as basis of design at all roof and structural conditions. owner to select color or metal if varies from galvalume. o included in the scope of work is metal roofing, fascia, rake, ridge cap and as well as the r-panel side skirt materials. o contractor to replace the eave struts on both sides of the building as well as selected purlin members, refer to engineering documents for more information and installed to meet all structural code requirements. all existing purlin members not being replaced will be required to be cleaned and coated with aanti-corrosion cold galvanizing coating. o remove all outside r-panel side skirts to gain access to the eave strut location and reinstall new metal side skirt panels to the height of the new roof system height. fasten with high dome and color matched fasteners according to manufacturer assembly instructions. o contractor to install a new 24ga 24-inch wide mcelroy trap-tee roofing panel system with manufacturer specific panel clip system fastened at existing purlins and installed per manufacturer requirements to meet all local code requirements. o contractor to install a 4-inch r-seal insulation board over open framing and purlins to provide a walkable surface and installed per manufacturer requirements. o install a high temperature rated, self-adhered waterproofing membrane to provide a 20-year watertightness warranty. o install new 24ga metal edge closure at all building edges to accommodate the new insulation board and panel system. o new fascia, gutters and downspouts are required to match existing size and discharge location. owner to select color of all metal. o contractor to tie-in all downspouts into existing storm sewer piping. o all translucent skylights will be removed from the building and not reinstalled with the new metal roofing system. o new high-ridge cap must be a free-flowing vented ridge cap to allow air flow and allow heat to exit the structure. o install new 24ga metal closure at the ridge condition covering the newly installed r-seal insualtion prior to the roofing and panel clip installation. o contractor to remove the existing spotlight mounts from the r-panel side skirts and hold for reinstall purposed in the same locations. wire brush, treat for rust and paint to match the new side skirt metal. o all measurements are the responsibility of the contractor. o provide manufacturer's 25-year warranty covering the panel against rupture, structural failure, or perforation. o provide manufacturer's 40-year warranty panel coating warranty covering cracking, checking, and peeling, and 30-year warranty covering fade and chalk. o provide manufacturer's 20-year weather tightness warranty. o provide a five (5) year contractor's warranty. o all mechanical, electrical, plumbing disconnections shall be the responsibility of the contractor. A. It is the intent of the specification that the new work will provide a watertight facility. These specifications describe the minimum acceptable standards of construction and finish. B. Provide a new rigid board insulation system with a new standing seam metal roof system according to the scope of work and manufacturer requirements. C. Remove and replace selected structural members as required by the engineering documents, all top flange of existing members shall be prepped and coated with an anti14 corrosion coating. D. Remove and replace all R-panel wall panels and replace with new materials with matching high-dome gasketed fasteners. Project has been cancelled as per website.
