The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has notified Hanover County of its intent to purchase the 43-acre property at 11525 Lakeridge Parkway for use as an Immigration and Customs Enforcement processing facility. The plan includes purchasing and rehabilitating the existing 552,000-square-foot warehouse, along with modifications to the building and parking areas, fencing, lighting, landscaping, drainage, stormwater, recreation areas, and cameras.
