Question Deadline: Tue Feb 10, 2026 4:00:00 PM (EST) Applicants shall promptly examine all of the documents comprising the Request for Pre-qualification and shall report any errors, omissions or ambiguities and shall direct all inquiries regarding the Documents, online via the Bidding System This Request for Prequalification process is intended to solicit responses from Asbestos Abatement Contractors interested in projects with York Region District School Board (YRDSB). Work may also include abatement of other designated substances and mould. Note: Contractors who have been previously prequalified or who are currently performing work for the Board MUST RESPOND TO THIS REQUEST. Contractors who do not participate in this prequalification process and who are not subsequently approved will be excluded from bid opportunities during the term of this prequalification. The successful Applicant will be entering into a Pre-qualification term of three years. Pre-Qualification will ensure that successful firms will receive Requests for Tender, Requests for Quotation and Requests for Proposal for the period of March 2, 2026 to March 1, 2029. Please note: commencement date is an estimate only. Actual dates may differ. Please note that the Board reserves the right to rotate the participation of all prequalifying contractors for both small and large dollar bids based on capacity and capability of the Contractor. Your prequalified status will also ensure that your firm may be invited to quote on projects as a sub-trade to our General Contractors. As it is Board practice to prequalify sub-contractors, your participation in responding to quotations from the Board's prequalified General Contractors is expected. The Board reserves the right to cancel this invitation to Pre-Qualify; to reject any or all applications, to re-advertise for applications; and to waive errors, qualifications, irregularities and Informalities. The Board reserves the right to terminate the pre-qualification term in the event that Our requirements change or if this process results in an unresponsive or poor performing pool of Contractors. The Board reserves the right to cancel this Request for Pre-qualification without any obligation or any reimbursement to proposed Proponents.
