Sealed bids are requested for Bill Processing, Mailing Services, Postage, and Office Installation of Gas Mains and Services for the Gas Department. Bids must be accompanied by a bid deposit as a guarantee to enter into a contract if awarded. The deposit must be a certified check, cashier's check, or bank draft for five percent (5%) of the bid amount or a bid bond for ten percent (10%) of the bid amount. The check or bank draft should be payable to Watertown Municipal Utilities. The bid bond must be issued by a surety authorized to do business in South Dakota and made payable to Watertown Municipal Utilities. Checks or bonds not complying with these provisions will disqualify the bid. The right is reserved to reject any and all bids or any part of any bid. No bidder may withdraw their bid within thirty (30) days after the opening date. Bid will be awarded based on the total bid price for all the footages and other items listed on the proposal sheet. Actual work quantities may vary from the footages and items listed. Bidders shall specify starting dates for installation. No starting dates later than May 1st, 2026, and a firm completion date of November 1st, 2026, will be accepted unless agreed by both parties.
