DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT: Project Description: The desired project delivery method is Competitive Sealed Proposals as described in chapter 2269, subchapter D., of the Texas Government Code. A site visit is required before submitting a proposal. The District is desiring to renovate the fire training tower. The fire training tower is used to create firefighting scenarios for fire fighters to conduct training. The work shall include: Demo the existing trim, panels and insulation in the three burn rooms Install new insulation, batten board, panels and trim in the three burn rooms. Must use 24 GA stainless steel on walls and ceilings and purchase all materials from the original manufacturer of the burn rooms. Replace three exterior doors Provide and install new scout temp meter Haul off all scrap and trash Provide all equipment, bonds, and insurance to complete job Work should be done in accordance with the original specifications for the fire training tower, which are attached to this Request for Competitive Sealed Proposals The District reserves the right to modify the requested work by issuing supplements to this Request for Competitive Sealed Proposals. The District is requiring a payment and performance bond on the project.
