The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance surety bond, issued by a bonding company authorized to do business in New York State, in the amount of 100% of the total amount of the contract, as a guarantee for the faithful performance thereof. Cash, irrevocable letter of credit, or certified check, payable to the County of Otsego, are the only acceptable alternate forms of performance guarantees, in lieu of a performance bond. the Otsego County Emergency Communications Department is seeking bids from qualified contractors for furnishing Site Compound Grading for Otsego County; as specified. Project Location Clarence Musson Road Butternut, NY 13776 Project Scope The successful contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to perform site grading as specified below: o Strip Topsoil o Excavate to achieve a desired subgrade of one foot below tower center elevation new tower pad which is 65 LF x 90 LF. The complete compound should be at the same grade. o Approximately 5-7 feet beyond the edge of the compound, on the upside of the hill, create a slope to blend into existing grade. This which will require approximately 18-20 feet that will need to be cut on the up-hill side. o All material removed from the pad area is to be spread to the north. To the adjacent area of side and leveled so there is no ridge greater than six inches. o Cut out a two foot wide, 1 foot deep swale within 5-7 feet on the upper side of the pad to daylight water above pad, and around the front side of the pad. Warranty o Contractor shall warranty workmanship and materials for one (1) year from final acceptance. Contractor Requirements o Provide maintenance & protection of traffic on Clarence Musson Rd., as necessary, as per MUTCD standards. o Provide soil erosion & sediment control, as per NYSDEC BEST methods. o Contractor is responsible for verifying field conditions prior to bidding.
