Renovation of a multi-residential development in West Bradford, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
Sealed bids are requested for site improvements related to the relocation of an existing dwelling. The scope of work includes providing all labor, supervision, technical personnel, materials, machinery, tools, appurtenances, equipment, and services required to complete the relocation of the dwelling, construction of a new foundation, backfill, and associated compaction. The work also involves removing an existing porch and dwelling addition, disconnecting utility services (including duct work, HVAC unit, etc.), removing basement steps, unfastening the existing sill plate, and performing any other necessary removals for the relocation. The successful bidder will be responsible for installing a new driveway, porch, walkways, steps, and specified house renovation improvements. Site stabilization activities such as installing temporary erosion and sedimentation control devices, removing and placing topsoil, final grading, seeding and mulching disturbed areas, and connecting utilities (water, electric, communication, sewer) are also included. Bidders must comply with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act where applicable. Proof of qualifications to perform the work must be submitted as described in the instructions. The Township reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all bids as it deems in the best interest of the Municipality. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked “1401 Marshallton Thorndale Road House Relocation bid” and must include on the outside of the envelope the name, address, and telephone number of the bidder. A list of bids received is expected to be presented to the Board of Supervisors at their meeting on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 7:00 P.M. for consideration Technical questions concerning this work and directions to the property should be directed to Mr. Matthew Bush of JMR Engineering, LLC at (484) 880-7342 and/or by email at matt@jmrengineering.com. No interpretations of the meaning of the drawings, specifications or other contract documents will be made to any bidder orally. Every request for such interpretations should be made by submitting a question in writing on or before the established question cutoff time. Questions received less than 10 days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. The project cost is twenty-five thousand dollars or above.
