Demolition, site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Depew, New York. Completed plans call for the demolition of a transportation facility; bridge / tunnel; and bridge / tunnel.
The Erie County Industrial Development Agency is soliciting sealed bids for the Lancaster I.T. Capacity & Safety Improvements Project in the Villages of Depew and Lancaster, Erie County, New York. The construction work is divided into two separate contracts: a Bridge Contract and a Track Contract. The Bridge Contract involves work zone traffic control, full removal and repainting of structural steel on Bridge 384.75 over Transit Road, installation of Class A containment, erosion controls, earthwork for a new interchange track, and replacement of Bridge 385.56 with a steel pipe culvert. The Track Contract includes tie replacement, ballast, lining and surfacing, construction of a new 1,219-foot interchange track, and incidental track work along the rail line. The project is partially funded by NYSDOT and requires compliance with prevailing wage rates and applicable apprenticeship requirements. Bids must clearly indicate whether they are for the Bridge Contract or the Track Contract. Bid security in the amount of 10% is required, and performance and payment bonds will be required of the successful bidder.
