Renovation of an educational facility in Marion, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
**As of February 16, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Work to include the replacement of four rooftop mechanical units with new seismic roof curbs, new gas piping with supports, and a new ceiling suspended fabric duct assembly. Other work to include, but not limited to, painting of gas lines and interior ductwork, EPDM roof modifications, and masonry wall infill from exhaust fan removal. Corresponding Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical Systems will also be included. See Section 00 10 00 - Instruction to Bidders and Section 00 10 01 - Supplemental Instructions to Bidders bound within the Project Manual for further bidding requirements. The successful bidder shall comply with the provisions of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, specifically including the payment of the applicable prevailing wages to all laborers, workers, and mechanics performing work under the contract. The District does have a Project Labor Agreement that must be adhered to. The Owner is exempt from sales tax. Payment and Performance Bonds will be required. Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the Owner in the amount of 5% of the base bid will be required. Bids shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, considering conformity with specifications, terms of delivery, and quality and serviceability, as determined by the Board. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or in part or to waive any informality in the bidding process. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Owner. Facsimile and electronic bids will not be accepted. Bidders are responsible for ensuring timely delivery of their bids; no late bids will be accepted.
