Renovation of a multi-residential development in Wareham, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
The work consists of the removal and replacement of existing windows with proprietary Andersen impact resistant new construction windows, including trim, at one building for the base bid and an identical building as Add Alternate 1 at Redwood Park (667-2) in Wareham, Massachusetts. The estimated cost for the project is $472,353.00. All bids must be submitted electronically through biddocs.com. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in General Building Construction and must provide a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and a signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement. A bid deposit of at least five percent (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount, including all alternates, is required. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond and a payment bond, each equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Bidders must comply with all applicable regulations including Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity, Davis-Bacon Act, Massachusetts Wage Rates, and contract with minority and women business enterprises certified by the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO), with a participation benchmark of at least 13%. The contractor and all subcontractors must also strive to achieve a workforce participation benchmark of 6.9% for women and 15.3% for minorities. Selection will be based on bidder qualifications, evidence of past performance on similar projects, and bid price. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible and eligible bidder. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities and to accept or reject any or all bids in whole or in part.
