Renovation of a multi-residential development in Albertville, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a six-unit multi-residential development.
The project consists of the interior demolition and renovation of the Westside Court apartments in Albertville, Alabama. The work includes the renovation of approximately 6 units. Bidders are required to review the renovation site prior to submitting a bid, with vacant units available for inspection. Only contractors properly licensed by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors under Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended, will be considered. Bidders must display their current license number and Licensed Category of Construction work on the outside of the sealed envelope, and include a copy of their license with the bid. Local municipality licensing must be obtained before executing the construction contract. Bids must be submitted on forms provided by the Architect. No bid may be withdrawn for 30 days after the bid deadline. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, in accordance with Housing Authority and HUD policies, and Alabama Bid Laws. A certified check or Bid Bond of at least 5% of the bid amount must accompany each proposal. Performance and statutory labor and material payment bonds will be required at contract signing and must be included in the contractor's proposal. The awarded contractor must comply with Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 (12 U.S.C. 1701u, as amended) and 24 CFP Part 75, ensuring that employment and opportunities are directed to low and very low-income persons, particularly those receiving HUD assistance for housing. Plans, specifications, and contract documents are available by contacting the Architect and providing company and contact details. All RFIs and product substitution requests must use forms from the Project Manual and be submitted no later than 3 days after the Pre-Bid Meeting. Proposals must be hand delivered on the bid date. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. QA date - 2-23-2026 Request For Information received after 2:00 p.m., Three (3) days before the bid opening.
