Sealed proposals are requested for the collection and disposal of residential solid waste. Prospective bidders should include costs and services required for once-a-week collections using either an automated mechanical arm and/or a physical hopper. A performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the first year of the contract, in a form acceptable to the owner's attorney, must accompany the contract. Sureties used for obtaining bonds must be acceptable per U.S. Dept. of Treasury Circular 570. Only proposals from contractors and/or subcontractors licensed under Act 113 of the 1964 Louisiana Legislature will be considered. Bidders must submit evidence of holding a valid license of proper classification. Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked "Proposal - Collection and Disposal of Residential Solid Waste." The owner reserves the right to consider or reject any and all proposals.
