Site work and paving for a road / highway in Tremont, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and road / highway.
Sealed Bids for the construction of South Gunter Street will be received at the Village Hall. The Project consists of a new urban street within the Gunter Street right of way from Illinois Route 9 approximately 250 feet to the south. Work will include an asphalt pavement with curb and gutter. The project plans also include reconstruction of a portion of Tazewell Street with salvaged aggregate materials and a bituminous surface treatment. The successful bidder will be required to agree to pay not less than the prevailing rate of wages to all workmen, laborers, and mechanics performing their work under their contract. Bids will be received for a single prime contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis for the items identified on the bid form. The cost of all services, materials, and labor shall be included in the unit price items included on the bid form. Payment will be for the actual quantity of the constructed bid item. Each separate bid will be required to remain open for a period of 45 days after bids are opened. Bid bond or bid security is required for this project. All proposals must be made on forms furnished by the Engineer. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bond satisfactory to the Owner in the amount of 100 percent of the contract amount. The Owner reserves the right to reject all Bids, to reject any non-responsive Bid, and to determine the low, responsive, responsible Bid.
