A contractor will not be prequalified for this letting unless the statement is received before the time and day established. The Department reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive minor or immaterial irregularities, informalities or technicalities, to advertise for new bids, or to request confirmation or clarification from any bidder regarding a bid. ILDOT - 139 - Traffic Signal Modernization at 2 Intersections: IL 13 The project consists of new TS2 type V cabinets, with controllers and video detection, new UPS cabinets w/Alpha battery back up units and new batteries, replace existing lighting controller with an IDOT standard lighting controller, install groundmount service cabinet, intersection grounding (ground rods in pullboxes), and new street light wiring. This work shall include installation of vehicle detection system that detects vehicles on a roadway using a multi-sensor detection system. This work shall consist of furnishing and installing video cameras, cables, video processors, a controller interface unit, and a remote communication module to operate the video vehicle detection system. The multi-sensor system shall utilize two different sensors of different technologies, video imaging and radar, to detect and track licensed and unlicensed vehicles at distances over 500 feet. The sensor system shall fuse vehicle information from the two sensors to provide highly accurate and precise detection for simultaneous stop bar presence detection, advanced detection, and special or advanced applications. This work shall consist of placing cement mortar along precast, prestressed concrete bridge deck beams as required for fairing out any unevenness between adjacent deck beams prior to placing of waterproofing membrane and surfacing."
