As of February 24, 2026, the project was awarded to New Tech, with an awarded amount of $596,284.95. The project consists of constructing concrete pathways within the City of Valparaiso. Other construction activities include ADA ramps (removal and new construction), curb work, concrete aprons, minor storm sewer improvements, and other incidental work. The contractor will also be responsible for maintaining traffic. Proposals must be properly and completely executed on the Bid Form, and must include an executed Indiana State Board of Accounts Form 96, confirmation of receipt of Addenda (if issued), and satisfactory bid security. A certified or cashier's check payable to the City of Valparaiso or a bid bond amounting to five percent of the bid amount must accompany each bid. The successful bidder must provide Performance and Payment Bonds, each for one hundred percent of the contract amount. Bidders are required to be experienced in constructing the type of facilities specified. The contractor must enroll in and verify the work eligibility status of all newly hired employees through the E-Verify program, unless the program no longer exists. The City may not contract with anyone engaged in investment activities in Iran. The City has adopted responsible bidding practices, and contractors must provide all required materials with their bid documents and comply with all provisions.
