The project consists of the installation of approximately 924 linear feet of concrete sidewalk along Gene Wilson Boulevard and Meadowbrook Lane, including drainage and pavement improvements. Bidders and DBE subcontractors must be prequalified with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and possess a Certification of Eligibility at the time of the bid opening. All other subcontractors must be prequalified when accepting subcontracts. The project will follow the current edition of the Kentucky Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. All bids must be made on the required Bid Form, fully completed, and executed with original signatures and corporate seals. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be conducted on site. The contract is funded by a KYTC Transportation Alternatives Grant. Prevailing Wage Rates apply. There is a 0% DBE goal for this project. Bidders are required to comply with regulations including Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Anti-Kickback Act, the Contract Work Hours Standard Act, and the President’s Executive Orders No. 11246 and No. 11375, and any amendments or supplements thereto. Bidders must certify they do not and will not maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated based on race, color, creed, or national origin. Minorities and small businesses are encouraged to submit bids. The contract will be awarded on the basis of the low evaluated responsive, responsible, best, and qualified bidder unless all bids are rejected. The City of Louisa reserves the right to waive any bidding informalities and reject any or all bids for any reason deemed advisable. The sealed bid must be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope as specified. A certified check or Bid Bond payable to the City of Louisa, KY in the amount of five percent of the Bid shall accompany the Bid.
