This is an elevator modernization program involving design and engineering services for vertical transportation systems at NYS facilities in Albany. Including elevators at Empire State Plaza and State Capitol. May require expertise in vertical transportation, MEP engineering, and historic preservation compliance. The New York State Office of General Services Design & Construction Group (OGS D&C) intends to contract with one (1) firm to provide Engineering and/or Architectural Services. Firms must possess a strong mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural engineering background as assigned tasks will primarily be in these areas of expertise. Other tasks may also include architectural, site/civil/utility engineering, structural engineering, fire protection/fire alarm engineering, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainability. elevator modernization consulting, inspection, design, design phase management, and construction phase services. The selected firm must be capable of demonstrating the capacity for condition assessment, prioritization, design, and design phase management of a large capacity of simultaneous projects throughout Albany, NY. The majority of projects will involve the rehabilitation of existing facilities. The firm and/or sub-consultants must be qualified and capable of providing mechanical, electrical, structural, fire protection and architectural (including historic preservation) design services, as assignments may include these disciplines.
