The work includes general and structural work to be constructed under a single prime contract. The extent of the work is shown on the drawings and specified in the project manual. Sealed bids for the China Grove Middle School Gymnasium Floor Replacement are required. Prospective bidders may view complete sets of plans and specifications through the office of ADW Architects during normal business hours and in the Duncan-Parnell plan room. Bidding documents are available from Duncan Parnell via their bid room. All bidders that purchase documents from any other source do so at their own risk and will not be added to the official Plan-Holders List. Neither the Owner nor Architect will be responsible for copies of the bidding documents obtained from sources other than from Duncan Parnell. Attendance at a pre-bid meeting at the project site is mandatory for all potential bidders wishing to submit bids for the project. Each proposal must be accompanied by a cashier's check or certified check drawn on a bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, payable to Rowan Salisbury Schools in an amount of five percent (5%) of the gross amount of the proposal, or by a bond in the above amount executed in accordance with and conditioned as prescribed by G.S. 143-129, State of North Carolina. All contractors must be properly licensed under the state laws governing their trades. The Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals.
