Bid forms, contracts, and specifications are available through Remington & Vernick Engineers and must be handled via electronic download or overnight delivery--no in-person pickups. Payment is required prior to obtaining documents. Bids must be submitted on the prepared bid form, in sealed envelopes displaying the bidder's name, address, and referenced work, addressed to the specified municipal clerk. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond for at least 10% (not exceeding $20,000) of the bid amount, along with a certificate letter from a surety company for a completion bond. The awarding of the contract is contingent upon funding and necessary permits. Compliance with Affirmative Action, Prevailing Wage Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Public Works Contractor Registration Act, and proof of business registration for both contractor and subcontractors are required. Disclosure of stockholders must be submitted with the bid. The township reserves the right to consider bids for sixty days and may reject any or all bids or waive informalities. No interpretations of the meaning of the drawings, specifications or other contract documents will be made to any bidder orally.
