The Bulloch County Board of Commissioners is accepting sealed bids for: Installation of approximately 1500 linear feet of Commercial Grade 6 foot tall, galvanized chain link fence at the Bulloch County Solid Waste Convenience Center as per scope of work and specifications provided within the bid package. Bid date notes: The outside of the sealed envelope shall include the wording: Bulloch County Solid Waste Pine Inn Convenience Center Fence Contract; Bid Opening: February 17, 2025 @ 3:00 PM; Attn: Peyton Fuller, Procurement Director. FY26-PW-SW01 Questions must be received by February 5, by 4:00 PM. contact person, in writing via e-mail (pfuller@bullochcounty.net). Responses will be issued February 6, 2026, by 4:00 PM. All email correspondence during the question & answer period must include the project identifier FY26-PW-SW01 in the subject line of the email. 1.1. GENERAL 1.1.1. Contractor shall furnish all materials, supplies, equipment and labor to complete the installation of the fencing as described in these specifications. All measurements supplied by the County are approximate. 1.1.2. Failure to inspect the site will not relieve the Contractor of his obligation to comply with these specifications nor will it serve as grounds for later withdrawal of Contractor's bid or claim for additional payment. 1.1.3. The fencing described in these specifications will be used to enclose and secure the Solid Waste Collection Convenience Center on Pine Inn Road, Bulloch County Ga. 1.1.4. The basic fence configuration will include Commercial Grade 6' high chain link fabric with top pipes with a double drive gate (2 - 12 ft parallel slide gates) and a single drive gate (1 - 12 ft parallel slide gate) as shown on the layout drawing. 1.1.5. The fencing will be Inset from the property lines approximately 10 ft to allow for maintenance on the outside of the fence. Exact location of the fence will be set by Public Works Staff and Contractor prior to installation. 1.1.6. Contractor will furnish product sheets for materials he proposes to furnish. Ties: 9-gauge aluminum J. Concrete: minimum 3,000 PSI, wet mixed and poured for post set K. Bottom Tension Wire, Galvanized, 7 Gauge 1.3. INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS 1.3.1. Installation will be performed consistent with manufacturer's recommended guidelines. 1.3.2. All work will be coordinated with County's representative. 1.3.3. Compound area where fence will be installed is covered with clean crushed rock over vegetation barrier. Contractor will manually slice vegetation barrier at site of postholes to prevent tearing and separation of barrier fabric. Crushed rock will be replaced around posts by contractor. 1.3.4. Gates will be welded and the joints wire brushed, solvent cleaned and cold galvanized. 1.3.8. Maximum span of 10' between line posts. 1.3.9. Install truss bracing rods at all corner and gate posts. 1.3.10. Contractor shall be responsible for dig permit and utilities prior to start of work All work must be completed within 60 calendar days
