Renovation of a library in Mattapoisett, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.
LIBRARY FLOOR REPLACEMENT - BASEMENT LEVEL The selected contractor will be responsible for: o Removing and properly disposing of existing carpet and cove base. o Preparing the subfloor, including cleaning, leveling, and moisture testing (if needed). o Supplying and installing luxury vinyl tile (LVT) flooring in the following areas: o Large Meeting Room o Staff Room o Entry & Hall Area o Main Children's Area o Supplying and installing commercial-grade carpet tiles in: o Children's Office Area o Storytime Area o Supplying and installing new cove base throughout all renovated areas. Coordinating with library staff to minimize disruption to operations. Completing all work within the agreed-upon timeline. Materials Specifications o LVT Flooring o Commercial-grade LVT suitable for high-traffic public spaces. o Slip-resistant surface. o Low-VOC materials meeting current environmental standards. o Contractor must provide at least three LVT samples for library selection. o Carpet Tiles o Commercial-grade carpet tiles, low-VOC, stain-resistant. o Suitable for children's programming spaces. o Contractor must provide at least three carpet tile samples for library selection. o Cove Base & Adhesives o 4-inch (or comparable) rubber or vinyl cove base. o All adhesives must be low-VOC and compliant with Massachusetts environmental standards.
