CR#: 2131157 the city is seeking to retain the services of a professional engineering firm to provide on-call construction management services on an as needed basis for various Department of Public Works Projects. Contract Term: One year with two one year renewals The City of Long Beach expects to select up to five firms for each discipline (the "Awardees") at a regularly scheduled meeting of the Council. Notwithstanding any other provisions of this RFP, the City reserves the right to select the respondent that best meets the requirements of the RFP, and not necessarily to the lowest priced proposal. Further, the City, reserves the right, for any or no reason and in its sole and absolute discretion, to (1) amend, in whole or part, (2) withdraw or cancel this RFP, and (3) accept or reject any or all Proposals prior to execution of the contract for the Project for any or no reason and with no penalty to the City. The proposal shall include Construction Management (CM) services for a one-year period with two one-year renewals at the discretion of the Department. This is an on-call service contract for various Department of Public Works projects. The services under this solicitation are anticipated to be for projects that exceed a fee of $35,000 but are less than $75,000, (typically the construction values of this work range from $200,000 to $750,000). The capacity of each firm's contract is anticipated to be $250,000. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
