Site work and renovation of a detention facility in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec. Design plans call for the renovation of a detention facility; and for site work for a detention facility.
Construction work to increase security measures in the Trois-Rivières detention facility (Project 528733): construction of a fenced courtyard with a roof, measuring 200 m2, in the courtyard P3 area. The enclosed courtyards consist of a concrete slab, upon which walls and a metal-framed roof covered with wire mesh will be installed. Inside the fenced courtyards, lighting, surveillance cameras, and a prison-type telecommunications system will be installed. TIMELINE: Contract for architectural services has been awarded. Contract for civil/structural and electrical services has been awarded following request for proposals # 44545965. Reference # 20119499. Tender for general contractor is scheduled for mid-February, 2027. Further update in fall, 2026.
