WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS A. The Work of the Contract includes improvements to the Solids Handling System at the Golden Acres WWTP as shown in drawings and included herein. All improvements include labor, material, site work, off-site disposal of waste, groundwater control, temporary provisions, startup and testing, supervision, coordination, training to City Staff, equipment, and accessories are incidental to the work for an operational system, complete in place. 1. Existing Infrastructure Demolition: Demolition of existing infrastructure including digester and storage building (old BFP building), sludge pumps, piping, paving, sidewalk, etc. as shown on drawings all including foundation, appurtenances, electrical, and waste and sludge disposal. 2. Proposed improvements: Installation of sludge holding tanks, blowers, aeration system, thickened sludge pumps, sludge transfer pumps, concrete equipment pads and canopy, piping, valving and appurtenances, concrete paving, sidewalk, yard piping, and associated electrical and SCADA systems improvements, including sitework, grading, and site restoration together with related subsidiary and incidental work in accordance with the plans and specifications. B. All work and disposal of material shall be performed in strict compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local statutes. C. Contractor is required to use the existing City of Pasadena right of way and property. No work is to be completed within roadway except where indicated or outside the construction limits. Access to the existing WWTP driveway must be maintained throughout the duration of construction.
