The project is for Warren County term bids for road repairs and construction services. The work includes: Asphalt Base Repair and Resurfacing, Pavement Marking (Paint and Thermoplastic), Erosion Control, and Construction Services. Contractors are responsible for performing all work and furnishing all parts, labor, equipment, and materials required by the specifications. The purpose of the bid is to establish term contracts with multiple contractors (up to three per bid schedule), to be used for various small repair projects for Warren County Roads and Roadside Development on an as-needed basis by issued individual Work Orders. The scope, quantities, and contract time for each work order will be determined by the engineer. Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi State law with a Certificate of Responsibility in an appropriate classification. Some projects may exceed $50,000, requiring the Certificate of Responsibility Number on the outside of the sealed bid envelope or as the first page for electronic bids. Bidders must comply with Mississippi's reciprocal preference law and submit required documentation for non-resident contractors. Bids must comply with Mississippi Code of 1972 as annotated and amended. All awarded repair projects shall follow the latest edition of the Mississippi Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. Bidders must submit a Bid Bond or Certified Check for $1,000. Successful bidders must furnish Proof of Insurance and Performance and Payment Bonds for 100% of the contract amount for projects over $25,000. The Warren County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to determine responsible bidders, responsive bids, the lowest and best bid, reject any or all bids, award to multiple bidders, and waive informalities in the bids or bidding process.
