SEALED PROPOSALS are requested for the North to South Transmission Main - Phase 3. Complete sets of Hard Copy Bidding Documents may be obtained from REV, 28 Church Street, Unit 7, Warwick, New York 10990, upon depositing the sum of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for each combined set of documents. Digital Bidding Documents are also available from h2mplanroom.com for a non-refundable fee of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00), paid by credit card. All bidders are encouraged to register to ensure receipt of all necessary information, including bid addenda. Each proposal must include a certified check or bid bond payable to the Bethpage Water District in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid as a commitment that the bidder will enter into a contract and provide further security for contract performance if accepted. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informalities, and accept the bid deemed in the Owner's best interests. Bidders must satisfy themselves by personal examination of the location of the proposed work and of the actual conditions and requirements of the work, and shall not at any time after the submission of the Proposal, dispute or complain of such estimate or assert there was any misunderstanding in regard to the depth or character of excavation to be made or the nature of the work to be done. A. The purpose of the project is to Install approximately 2,200 linear feet of 24-inch C.L.D.I. and 550 linear feet of 24-inch HDPE via open-cut trenching; 2,500 linear feet of 24-inch HDPE within a 36-inch HDPE sleeve via directional drilling; 40 linear feet of 12-inch C.L.D.I. and 580 linear feet of 12-inch HDPE via open-cut trenching and 40 linear feet of 16-inch C.L.D.I. and 580 linear feet of 16-inch HDPE via open-cut trenching located within Bethpage State Park. B. All work shown and specified in the Contract Documents shall be the work of this Construction Contract. The Owner does not anticipate awarding other prime contracts for the project as shown, however reserves the right to award the two project locations individually or as a whole, whichever is in the best interest of the District. C. This Section provides an abbreviated summary of the work for the Construction Contract associated with the Owner's program to construct the project. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Temporary Environmental Controls 2. Excavation of trench and entry/exit pits for new water main installation. 3. Open-cut installation of new water mains including appropriate valving, appurtenances. 4. Horizontal directional drilling. 5. Connection to existing water mains. 6. Flushing, pressure testing and sampling of new water mains. 7. Backfilling and grading of trench. 8. Restoration of disturbed areas. 9. Documentation of as-built conditions. 10.
