Doc Note: Payment will be accepted in the form of a check or money order and can be mailed to the Office of the Engineer, Attn: Amanda Rostin. Allow 24 business hours for processing of bidding documents in digital format (pdf), and 72 business hours for processing of a printed set of bidding documents upon the Engineer's receipt of payment. Bidders are required to obtain the bidding documents directly from the Engineer at least 24 business hours prior to the Bid Opening. No bid will be accepted from a bidder whose name is not included on the Engineer's Plan Holders List. The work generally consists of taxiway lighting. Bid security in the form of a bid bond equal to 5% of the total bid amount is required. In lieu of the bid bond, a cashier's check, certified check, or cash may be accepted. Contract bonds (Performance and Labor & Material Payment) will be required at contract execution, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract amount, provided by sureties authorized to conduct business in the State of Georgia. No bid may be withdrawn after closing time for the receipt of proposals for a period of one hundred twenty (120) calendar days unless that bid is withdrawn per state law. A Notice-of Award for the Contract will be issued once a successful bidder has been determined and funding has been secured. The Sponsor reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to re advertise or abandon this solicitation at the Sponsor's sole discretion. Nothing herein shall be construed as a commitment on the part of the Sponsor to award a contract. All Bidders must be licensed as required by the State of Georgia. Bidders are advised that the date, time, and location for submitting proposals or opening bids may be modified by Addendum, which must be acknowledged in the Proposal. The Federal Aviation Administration and Georgia Department of Transportation have agreed to reimburse the Sponsor for portions of the project costs. The Sponsor will not accept or consider proposals from any contractor whose name at the time of opening of bids or contract award appears on the then-current list of ineligible contractors published by the Comptroller General of the United States under Section 5.6(b) of the Regulations of the Secretary of Labor (29) CFR nor a proposal from any firm, corporation, partnership, or proprietorship pertaining in any way to an ineligible contractor who, at the time of the opening of bids or the contract award, has been removed from the Georgia Department of Transportation's list of prequalified contractors.
