Maintenance and repair services are required for the HVAC system of a 2013 Freightliner MBC Front Engine Commercial Bus Chassis located at the Grand Junction VA Medical Center. Work includes a full inspection of the vehicle's HVAC system, identification of issues, and submission of a written diagnostic report within five business days. Required tasks include inspection and repair of faulty generators to ensure proper power output and smoke-free operation, replacement or repair of dead generator batteries, tightening loose suction-side lines at the TXV for both cab and rear AC units, installation of a new O-ring on the rear unit, and performance of vacuum and leak testing. The HVAC systems must be charged with the manufacturer-recommended quantity of R134A refrigerant and tested for proper cooling performance. Additional work includes diagnosing and repairing leaking heater control valves, realignment and correct mounting of compressors with proper belt tension, ensuring heater valve functionality, and conducting full operational and quality control testing of both HVAC systems. All labor, OEM-approved parts, equipment, disposal, and associated materials must be provided, and a final detailed report outlining diagnostics, repairs, and recommendations is required.
