The City of Punta Gorda is requesting proposals from qualified consulting firms for professional engineering, architectural, and related consulting services for both new and existing public safety facilities. The City desires to retain a team with relevant public safety facility experience. Services include the determination of future facility space needs for the current Public Safety Complex located at 1410 Tamiami Trail. This could include but is not limited to, expansion of the existing facility with a new two-story building designed to occupy Crime Scene /Property & Evidence, 911 Telecommunications, Records, Investigations, Administration, an Emergency Operation Center, training space, and more, or if a new facility is necessary. This new, critically-hardened, facility will need to be programmed to accommodate staff growth to 2050, or roughly 110,000 SF, with the possibility of 'shell' space to accommodate staff growth to 2070.
