Defence Construction Canada (DCC) invites general contractors to express their interest in providing all labour, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the demolition and Site Development/Preparation; and new Construction of two (2) identical single-storey residential buildings for Canadian Armed Forces personnel. This Request for Expression of Interest (RFEOI) is the first step of a two-step solicitation process, the second step being the Tender Phase. Only the general contractors who will have responded to this RFEOI will be invited to submit a bid during the Tender Phase. The scope of this work for this project includes: The demolition and site development/preparation and new construction of two (2) identical single-storey residential buildings. Each 1072m² buildings will be complete with all required foundations, framing, roofing, building envelope, architectural finishes, mechanical and electrical systems for Canadian Armed Forces personnel. The work includes the construction of thirty two (32) 500 ft² suites distributed between two separate single-storey buildings. The site work includes, but is not necessarily limited to: Site preparation, excavation, foundations, framing, structural steel, miscellaneous metals, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, roofing, exterior finishes, glazing, insulation, drywall, painting, flooring, acoustical ceiling tiles, furnishings, doors and hardware, blinds, paving, landscaping. Technical plans and specifications are not available during this RFEOI and will be provided during the Tender Phase; however, the Standard Construction Contract Documents for Electronic Bidding, DCL 250E, are available on DCC's website: https://www.dcc-cdc.gc.ca/industry/forms. A contractor or supplier who has been declared ineligible or suspended by Public Services and Procurement Canada under its Ineligibility and Suspension Policy and whose period of ineligibility or suspension may not have expired will not be able to proceed to the second stage.
