A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Reference Number 0000411591 Estimated Project Cost: $2,150,00.00 The State of Colorado, Fort Lewis College is soliciting proposals from qualified Design-Build teams for the FL2510 - Dennison Track and Field Improvements project. The Dennison Track and Field Improvements project will include the full conversion and modernization of the existing football field and surrounding track facilities. The selected team will be responsible for delivering a fully integrated design and construction solution within a Fixed Limit of Design and Construction Cost, ensuring cost certainty, schedule reliability, and high-quality performance outcomes. This project will transform the current natural grass football field into a durable, low-maintenance synthetic turf system designed to support multiple intercollegiate sports, club sports, intramural programs, and major campus events such as Commencement. The project will also include the design and construction of a new all-weather Track & Field complex featuring a six-lane, 400-meter track, steeplechase pit, and dedicated event areas for high jump, pole vault, and horizontal jumps. To ensure sufficient information is available to firms preparing submittals, an optional presubmittal conference has been scheduled. The intent of this conference is provide an opportunity for prospective Design / Build Entities to discuss the project with knowledgeable Fort Lewis College staff and to tour the site. Scope of Services The selected Design-Build team shall provide all professional services, labor, materials, equipment, and coordination necessary to deliver the FL2510 - Dennison Track and Field Improvements project as a fully integrated design and construction solution under a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP). Services shall include, but are not limited to, site investigation and analysis; evaluation of alternative design solutions; complete project design; permitting and regulatory coordination; and complete construction of a modernized athletic facility. The scope encompasses conversion of the existing natural grass football field to a multi-sport synthetic turf system; design and construction of a six-lane, 400-meter all-weather track with steeplechase pit and dedicated field event areas; and implementation of comprehensive subsurface preparation, drainage, stormwater detention, and utility improvements necessary to ensure long-term performance and durability. The DesignBuild team shall address existing site constraints, achieve full NCAA code and performance compliance, and prioritize athlete safety, operational sustainability, constructability, and life-cycle cost efficiency. The team shall manage schedule, cost control, quality assurance, and stakeholder coordination to deliver a high-performing facility that supports intercollegiate athletics, campus programs, and major events while advancing Fort Lewis College's strategic and institutional objectives. The scope of services includes assistance to the State during the process of assessment, design, construction, and warranty period. Specific tasks to be performed by the Design/Build Entity include those generally performed by the Design/Build construction community where the Construction Manager is also the Contractor.
