The Monroe County School District is soliciting qualified vendors to provide comprehensive Building Fire Alarm Service, including inspection, maintenance, repair, testing, and annual certification of fire alarm systems across district facilities. The selected vendor must ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations while maintaining optimal safety for students, staff, and facilities. Work must be performed in compliance with NFPA 72, NFPA 70, UL standards, OSHA regulations, and local and state fire safety codes. Annual inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance are required for all fire alarm systems. Inspections include visual inspection, device testing, functional tests, verification of power supplies, and inspection of wiring. The vendor is responsible for maintenance and repair of defective components, including detector replacement, control panel reprogramming, upgrades, replacements, and documentation. Certified technicians with documented experience are required, and proposals must identify key personnel and their qualifications. The vendor must provide 24-hour emergency service with a maximum two-hour response time, maintain inventory of replacement parts, and document all services performed. Proper licensing is required, including a current State of Florida EF license, Notified Certified Dealer status, and FASA certification for technicians. Initial inspections must be completed within 30 days of contract award, with repairs completed within 14 days unless otherwise approved. Annual service schedules must be provided and coordinated with district personnel. Vendors must comply with all related federal, state, and local laws and demonstrate ongoing education and training regarding fire safety standards. Proposals must supply clear pricing, and required insurance coverage must be maintained throughout the contract term. Subcontractors must be disclosed and approved. Contractors are responsible for the supervision and qualification of employees, maintaining safety, and complying with all district policies including background screening, identification badge requirements, and prohibited interactions with students. Proposals must be organized and submitted electronically, containing specified documentation and certifications as outlined in the requirements.
