The Work includes minor wall demolition, electrical, and mechanical equipment for installation of new equipment, minor lighting and ceiling work, new wall construction, rework of electrical work to feed new arrangement of systems furniture, painting, breakroom cabinetry, fire sprinkler and alarm work coordination, and additional related work. Successful contractor will work closely coordinate work and schedules with systems furniture vendors, SOM IT department, and other SOM trades workers. The Work, includes modifying electrical floor box locations, adding new decorative lighting, modifying existing light fixture locations, removing old office furniture, adding new office furniture, removing sinks, modifying VAV box locations, modifying walls, and painting specific areas. DTMB File No. 171/25459.GSA includes, but is not necessarily limited to: new furniture, sprinkler system adjustments, and data system modifications. The site is located 525 W. Allegan Street, Lansing, MI, as shown on the Drawings. Bids must be based on the specified or Addendum-approved materials and equipment only. No 'or equal' or substitution proposals will be permitted after Bid opening, except as provided in the General Conditions. Each bid over $50,000.00 requires a performance bond and a payment bond. Each bid must be accompanied by a five percent bid guarantee. Builders risk insurance is required to be provided by the contractor unless otherwise indicated in the bid documents. Bidders are also cautioned to familiarize themselves with all other conditions of the contract.
