Renovation of a municipal facility in College Station, Texas. Working plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
As of 2/18/2026, project has been canceled and will rebid at a later date. The City of College Station is soliciting sealed/electronic bids from qualified contractors for the removal and replacement of an existing emergency diesel generator system at the City's Public Service Building. Bids must be submitted by the specified deadline, and late bids will not be accepted. Questions and inquiries should be submitted in writing via the Q&A feature available in the Brazos Valley e-Marketplace bidding portal, with a set deadline for requests for clarification. QA date - 2-12-2026 2:00 PM Question Submit Online. Project Scope of Work The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and coordination necessary to remove the existing emergency generator system and provide a complete, operational replacement at the City of College Station Electric Operations Building. The work includes: Removal and disconnection of the existing generator. The existing generator shall be retained by the City and relocated or stored as directed. Disposal is not included. Furnishing and installation of a new diesel emergency generator rated a minimum of 250 kW, 120/208V, three-phase, including all required controls, breakers, and accessories. Furnishing and installation of one (1) 1200A service-entrance-rated automatic transfer switch and one (1) 400A non-service-entrance-rated automatic transfer switch. Furnishing and installation of one (1) permanent 400A generator docking station. Furnishing and installation of one (1) remote generator annunciator with dry-contact or relay outputs for SCADA status indication. Providing all electrical installation work required to place the system into service. Providing temporary generator power as required during the replacement. Startup, commissioning, testing, coordination with City Operations, training, and closeout documentation. Detailed technical requirements, installation standards, and testing criteria are specified in subsequent sections of this ITB.
