The project is expected to be awarded on March 20th,2026** The Scope is to demo existing lab space 1,800 SF, located on the UMKC SOM fourth floor, and modify the space into offices and workstations to accommodate the UGME and GME programs. These will be two projects under one base bid. When advertised for bid, these projects will have participation goals for Minority Business Enterprises (MBE), Women Business Enterprises (WBE) and Service-Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (SDVE) as follows: 15% MBE, 10%WBE, and 3% SDVE Construction Begins Monday, March 16, 2026 Substantial Completion Tuesday, June 30, 2026 Rationale for Pre-qualification The University of Missouri has determined that general contractor prequalification is necessary due to the limited time available for design and construction. Design set will be ready by February 15, 2026. Substantial completion is required by the end of June 2026, and UMKC intends to share project information during the design phase to enable the shortlisted prequalified general contractors to provide timely bids. These projects must be completed within critical schedules in order to meet the Owner's schedule commitments for activities to support the academic calendar of the campus
