Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Oakley, Kansas. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project.
The City of Oakley is requesting bids for the construction of a new water treatment plant. The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment required for the project, which generally consists of piping, fire hydrants, meters, valves, and appurtenances; site earthwork and compaction; a waste holding pond and appurtenances; electrical work; treatment equipment purchase and installation; water treatment equipment; pumps; chemical feed equipment; a pre-engineered steel building; concrete, masonry, and architectural work; mechanical work and equipment; miscellaneous metal equipment; potable water tank and equipment; nitrate waste tank and equipment; gravel drive and entrance work; telemetry system; and all other incidental and appurtenant work required to complete the improvements as shown and specified. The estimated total bid price is approximately $4,000,000, and the project duration is expected to be 365 days. Question Deadline 02/24/2026 Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Instructions to bidders include requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award. Bidders must fully comply with Subpart C of 2 CFR Part 180 and 2 CFR Part 1532, regarding responsibilities for transactions, and contractors, subcontractors, or suppliers on the Excluded Parties List at www.sam.gov are ineligible. Contracts and subcontracts exceeding $100,000 must comply with the Anti-Lobbying Act, and appropriate certifications and disclosures are required. Bidders must also comply with the Kansas Act Against Discrimination and the Kansas Age Discrimination in Employment Act. Bidding documents are available for download or purchase, and only documents obtained through the designated website or Issuing Office are considered official. No partial sets are available from the Issuing Office. A pre-bid conference will not be held.
