Sealed bids are requested for the Annual Aluminum Sulfate/Blends Supply – Water Treatment Plant #1. Specifications can be obtained from the City of San Juan Purchasing Department or downloaded from the City’s website. Bidders must register with the Purchasing Division if specifications are downloaded online, to receive any addenda. The intent is to purchase an annual supply of Aluminum Sulfate/Blends for Water Treatment Plant #1, with estimated quantities based on projected usage for a twelve-month period. The City expects to order approximately half a load, or 4,420 gallons per load, monthly. Quantities may vary depending on service requests and fund appropriations. Unit prices will remain the same regardless of actual amounts bought, unless a change greater than 20% is mutually agreed in writing. The quoted price must prevail for a contract period of twelve months, with an option for two additional one-year extensions. Bid prices must include all freight, container charges, environmental fees, and any other costs. The unit price per pound must be specified. Any taxes, hazardous charges, or surcharges should be included in the bid price or specified as an addendum. Periodic integrity evaluations are required every six months. Only approved Aluminum Sulfate/Blends (Clar+Ion 91024 or Aqualum 02471 or approved equal) may be supplied, and proposed equivalents must be pre-approved with integrity analysis. Proposals not following proper form may be rejected. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive formalities, or accept the bid deemed most advantageous. Bids received after the deadline will not be accepted.
