The City is seeking a qualified contractor to construct approximately 200 linear feet of sidewalk from the existing sidewalk on the north side of Colewood Way at the Epstein School driveway to 303 Colewood Way (Project T6026-3). The work includes, but is not limited to, sidewalk construction, curb and gutter, grading, drainage adjustments, traffic control, and all other associated improvements necessary to deliver a complete and functional sidewalk facility. This project is funded through the City of Sandy Springs Capital Sidewalk Program. Bidders are strongly encouraged to visit the project site located at the north side of Colewood way at the Epstein School driveway to 303 Colewood Way. Street parking is available in the surrounding area. The purpose of the site visit is for bidders to familiarize themselves with the existing conditions and potential constraints prior to submitting a proposal. Each bidder is responsible for thoroughly assessing the site to ensure an accurate understanding of the project scope. All questions or clarifications related to site conditions must be submitted in writing during the Question and Answer period. Verbal questions or discussions during site visits will not be considered official responses and will not be binding. SCOPE OF SERVICES This project is to construct approximately 200 LF of sidewalk from the existing sidewalk on the north side of Colewood way at the Epstein School driveway to 303 Colewood Way, including curb and gutter, ADA ramps at the intersection, and other associated improvements. The project is to be funded through the Sandy Springs Capital Sidewalk Program. Please refer to construction plans titled “Colewood Way Sidewalk” for more detailed information on the scope. The Contractor must perform a minimum of fifty one percent (51%) of the total Contract work with its own forces, in accordance with the Contract requirements. The Contractor shall field verify all existing site conditions prior to the commencement of work and shall prepare and provide a layout on the site for review and approval by the City before any land disturbance activities occur. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, necessary machinery, supervision, tools, apparatus, other means of construction and all materials and labor specified in the Contract Documents or as necessary to complete the City of Sandy Springs project T6026-3, Colewood Way Sidewalk Project as per the attached plans. Through vehicular access and two-way traffic must be maintained during project construction.
